About

I’m Mohamed Belgaied Hassine, a consulting engineer at Rancher, now part of SUSE. Most of my working life is Kubernetes: helping teams design, install and operate clusters, and lately a good deal of virtualization on top of them.

I started this blog to write down the things I could not find documented anywhere. The posts here tend to be about the unglamorous parts: how a VM actually gets an address on your LAN, what a platform needs before you can install it, why a tool works from your terminal but not from the background service that replaces it.

Before writing something up I try to run it on my own hardware first, which is a homelab of small machines running Harvester, Rancher, and rather more services than is sensible.

You can find me on GitHub and LinkedIn.
